Karl Sundberg
Executive Director, Operations

Karl came to Advanced Physician Solutions in 2006 just as the company was emerging into full scale operations and is responsible for the Florence, AL-based company’s strategy, business development, education, training & implementation program development, partnerships, technology solution offerings and multiple other key strategic and day to day operational related initiatives. He is the executive liaison and key contact for the Company’s key strategic relationships, including those with Teklinks, Allscripts, Citrix, Microsoft, Dell and Fujitsu, and is the company's lead technology resource.

Prior to accepting his current position as Executive Director of Operations Karl served with APS as Director of Technology and together with his team engineered the present technology solution offerings of APS. His experience and knowledge of Citrix, Microsoft Server, EMR, Practice Management, Database and Rich Internet Application technologies is enhanced by his knowledge of Healthcare Operations and Clinical patient care both through his education in strategic management and healthcare operations and his experience as a former United States Air Force Medic.

Karl brings more than 13 years of progressive healthcare experience spanning nearly all of the facets of successful medical practice administrative body's of knowledge, including serving as a Senior Implementation Specialist and Employee Education Specialist for Misys Healthcare Systems prior to its merger with Allscripts. He holds a AAS in Allied Health Science and a BA in buisiness administration and brings big picture vision, focus and leadership to the APS team.
